Will a RoamThai eSIM work on my phone?
Most phones from the last few years support eSIM — iPhone 11 and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and many others. To check: dial *#06# — if you see an EID number, your phone supports eSIM. Your phone must also be carrier-unlocked. See our installation guide for the full compatibility check.
Do I need a passport or Thai ID to buy?
No. RoamThai sells travel eSIM data profiles issued outside Thailand, which don't require the passport registration that Thai-issued SIM cards do. All you need is an email address for QR delivery.
When does my plan's validity start?
Validity starts when the eSIM first connects to a network in Thailand — not when you buy it or scan the QR. Buy anytime, install on Wi-Fi before your trip, and the clock starts when you land.
Can I use my phone as a hotspot?
Yes — tethering/hotspot is included on all RoamThai plans, so you can share data with a travel partner or laptop.
What if my QR code email doesn't arrive?
Your QR is also shown on the order confirmation page immediately after payment — you're never dependent on email alone. Check spam first, then contact [email protected] and we'll resend it right away.
Can I get a refund if my phone doesn't support eSIM?
Yes — if your device turns out to be incompatible and the eSIM was never activated, contact us within 14 days for a full refund. That's why we ask you to run the 30-second compatibility check before buying.
